Nov 22, 2016 – Best Buy Distribution Centre Tour

On Tuesday November 22nd, 2016 CMHDS Members toured Best Buy Canada’s Distribution Centre in Langley, B.C. The facility had recently implemented a 5S Workplace Organization Program throughout the operation. The 5S’s are Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain. Oct 12, 2016 – London Drugs Distribution Service Centre Tour

On Wednesday October 12th, 2016 CMHDS members toured the London Drugs Distribution Service Centre in Richmond, B.C. The 419,000 sq.ft. facility services all of London Drugs 78 stores in Western Canada, carries 78,000 SKU’s and employs 340 people. Facility features include over 100 pieces of material handling equipment, almost 5km of conveyor, a Vocollect Voice Pick system and a Remstar/Nova Carousel Pick system. Sept 14, 2016 – Aritzia Distribution Centre Tour

On Wednesday September 14th, 2016 CMHDS Members toured the Aritzia Distribution Centre in Burnaby, B.C. Aritzia began as a boutique shop in 1984, when it opened its first store at the Oakridge Shopping Centre in Vancouver.  Since that time the company has grown to 75 locations with 16 in the United States and a growing on-line presence.
